Variance Hearings

The Commission reviews requests for variances to the Landscape Ordinance. A variance application must be filed with City Staff at 723 West Markham by the filing date in order to be heard by the Commission. The fee for a landscape variance application is currently $150 per application.

Results: Approved with the addition by the owner to install the majority of 50% of remining trees (9) and shrubs (35) into the interior of the site. This would represent a minimum of 5 trees and 18 shrubs into the interior and more, if possible.

For the remainder of the trees/shrubs that were not installed on the site, a financial equivalent donation will be given to the TREE Fund for the remaining number of uninstalled trees/shrubs to be planted in the surrounding area by the City.
